Self Service Reporting
Hi ARAS Experts, I have a question. I have been building some Self Service Reports in an ARAS 11 instance. I think that they could be very useful in our Environment. I have the following questions: Can I E-Mail a URL to the Report. If so how? ( I dont want to use exported pdf ect, I like the dynamic nature of the Report within ARAS) Can I link each row in the table to the associated Item so that it will open up within the same ARAS instance. In "Properties", I have played with the advanced property Settings. I can turn an entry in the table to a Hyperlink that will open a specific Item (FQDN), what I cant do is put the right variable in the URL to link to the associated item.Self Service Reporting run report
Hi all, I've a strange issue with self servivce reporting. I've created a new report into my ARAS SP8, and it works fine, I can run the report from myReports, but if I logout from Aras and login again in a second time and try to run or edit my report this doesn't work (blank window) but if I go to self service reporting under the administration menu and try to create a new one then also my previous report can be run. I'm not able to understand how if I try directly to run the report it doesn't work while it works only if before I open the creation of a new report... thanks
Self-Service Reporting Questions
Our business is wanting to start reporting more frequently. I have found that Self-Service Reporting is time-consuming and somewhat troublesome to use...not to mention slow. I have a few questions for those who use the Self-Service Reporting tool in Innovator: Who creates the self-service reports for your business? Is IT involved? Is it a full-time resource? What is the volume of requests for new reports? What areas/ItemTypes of Aras are the reports generated? What is the magnitude of the reports? (i.e. do you have many specific reports for whoever requests them or do you have just a few broad datasets that users can then run filters on to suit their needs?) If you do not utilize Self-Service Reporting, what reporting mechanism does your business use for users to measure metrics, etc? Thank you, in advance, for your response. Wes
Self Service Reporting, Concatenate Property Values
Hi All, I am trying to build a Basic report using SSRS. I have a requirement where in I want to concatenate values of two Properties and show it in a single Column, Is that Possible using SSRS ? Eg. the Item Type Name and Label should be displayed as "Name(Label)" in a single Column. Will I be able to use the Expression Property to achieve the above use case ? Also, Is there any documentation available which provides a detailed explanation on the SSRS Reporting Configurations ? Thankyou [emoticon:c4563cd7d5574777a71c318021cbbcc8]
Setting currency format in Reporting and in the system generally
I'm working on a Self Service Report which includes a cost column. The standard currency format shows me the £ symbol (GBP) even though I'm sitting in Germany and it should use the € (EUR) symbol. I also can't manually edit the format. Questions: Where does it get the format from? I really hope it's not getting it from my browser settings as that would be very dangerous Is there any way to manually set the number configuration? Just typing into the box doesn't work Where is the system-wide currency set, if possible? Costs, as an item property seem to be without units. I could see this causing confusion in an international setting. Also, the documentation for Self Service Reporting is very weak, just covering the tip of the iceberg of the capabilities. Self Service Report - Adding dynamic title
I would like for the title of these reports we made to be dynamic. This SSR starts with a Requirement Document as the root item. I'd like for the title to be dynamic. Below is just me hoping somehow handlebars or mustache would magically work. $root.item_number? Do I need to adjust the form that is the title form of the report and add some sort function to add a dynamic title? I'm hoping this is already a built-in behavior that I just don't know how to use! Side want: Export to Excel names a .XLS with some id. It is not the ID of the root item of the report though. Might be nice to give that a format too so it is like, "item_number + datetime()" or something.
Self Service Reporting - Latest Released
I need to pull a report but only for latest released however it seems SSR can only pull current? I've tried messing around with filters on the is_current and is_released properties but when set to 1 and latest isn't one of these I don't get the expected result. I have a report created using SSRS , one of the properties displayed on the report is of type Image. I am able to see the image on the SSRS report. However when I try to export the report to PDF or Print it , the image is displayed as a link (the vault path). Is this how SSRS behaves or am I missing something ? Is there a way for the image to be displayed on the PDF report? Thanks :)
