Getting an error "object Object" on UI when opening or creating a Requirement
I am using Aras 11 SP15. This has the requirements engineering module instead of the requirements management. Whenever I try to open any existing requirement or create a new requirement, I get this following error with the message "object Object". Below is a screenshot of this error. I am able to create, update and view requirements, but this error comes every time.18KViews0likes8Comments[ODBC SQL Server Driver] Login timeout expired. Issue during initial Setup.
Hi, I'm trying to install Aras Innovator and create a new database along with it, but I keep getting the error [Microsoft] [ODBC SQL Server Driver] Login timeout expired. I have already installed the SQL Server on my machine and am able to connect to it through SQL Server Management Studio. However, each time I go to connect through the Innovator installer I get the error above. I have tried reinstalling SQL Server, enabling TCP, and have enabled all IIS files needed for installing. Any help would be appreciated.9.3KViews0likes3CommentsARAS 12 Windows Authentication setup not working

When using the express ECO there are 2 actions (Renumber and Supersede) that are either; not working correctly or the documentation is unclear. For renumber and supersede there are no updates to the BOM as the documentation implies. My understanding from the PE documentation is: Renumber replaces an existing Part with its copy. The existing Part is copied as a new Part, which is assigned a new Part number, and released. The copied Part becomes the replacement Part in the BOM in which it is defined and supersedes the old Part. I see that on promoting express ECO to Draft Changes that a new part is created and the old part is marked as superseded. However, the Part is not replaced in the BOM. although it says "Superseded" there is no obvious way to view this on the BOM or what part superseded it. Supersede globally replaces one released Part with another released Part. The original Part is superseded. I see that on promoting express ECO to Draft Changes that the old part is marked as superseded. However, the Part is not replaced in the BOM. On the assembly part I see that it says "Superseded" there is no obvious way to view the superseded part except by navigating through ECO. The pictures show Assembly 1 contains Part 1 that I renumbered and Part 2 that is superseded. (For comparison: When I do a revise action on a part in the context of assembly the new revision of the part floats to the assembly. This behaves correctly and the traceability is clear in redline mode). Can you confirm the steps that the user should take to use renumber and supersede correctly, Thanks4.3KViews0likes1CommentPerformance testing tools with Aras
Hello all, We are planning to import certain amount of data to Aras and we have created some functionalities (methods) related to that. And we would like to make some performance testing after importing the data to see that our functions/methods are able to perform. Any advice which tools would be good? We would need to record some use/test cases (make searches through UI, and test some other functions also as a users do) - but of course we would like to simulate the user behavior. Do anyone know which tools works with Aras UI and which doesn't? Any hints and tips are appreciated. I'm not performance test expert in any meaning but I have some experience on Apache jMeter from previous projects. We are utilizing Aras12 (SP9). Hi all, We are currently on Aras Innovator Version 11.0 SP9. From my understanding, the latest service pack available for Version 11.0 is SP15. My question is, is it still possible to upgrade from SP9 to SP15? If so, what would be the effort/duration required to do so? Is it a complicated procedure or a relatively simple one? Thanks!0Views0likes1Comment
