New Aras 11 SP9 installation http error 503

Hi, I have installed Aras innovator SP9 on a windows 7 professional machine (clean machine). I get Service Unavailable HTTP error 503 on a Chrome browser. We have installed in the following order all windows updates IIS .NET 4.5.1 .NET 4.7 Remote server admin tools -> SMTP server tools sql express 2014 with report servicing Aras innovator SP9 default installation with smtp server I can see sql reports http://localhost/Reports I get error 503 with localhost/innovatorserver I get error 503 with http://localhost Then installed IIS with ALL features I have re-installed aras innovator and still same error Any pointers would be helpful   best regards

    Hi, Yes that helped, one comment pointed me in right direction. In IIS Manager, go to the Application Pools under the Server, then find the correct Application Pool "Aras Innovator AppPool ASP.NET 4.0", and click on it. On the Advanced Settings menu to the right, select Identity. Change Identity to "NetworkService". Click on your Application Pool again, and select Recycle to restart it. I can login into aras innovator! Now there are two other App pools in IIS Manager. Aras SelfServiceReporting AppPool ASP.NET 4.0 Aras Vault AppPool ASP.NET 4.0 Would you recommend changing their identities to "NetworkService"?   best regards

    Hello, After installing SP9 we are also having this issue. We linked new installation of SP9 to previous database which was used on SP5, the connection worked out fine (we can use logins and passwords from old database) but after logging in, we also get blank screen. Only Innovator logo and button "log out" is visible. Sincerely, Eimantas

    Hi Eimantas, Aras Innovator is not backwards compatible with databases from prior releases. That is, the major version and service pack of an installation and database should always match. Eli

    Hi, after installing the Windows Fall Creators update I've got the same error 503-issue. AI 11 Sp9 worked well before. Any changes in the IIS (as described in stackoverflow.com/.../http-error-503-the-service-is-unavailable) had no effect. Application Pool 'Aras Innovator AppPool ASP.NET 4.0' crashes instantly after call up localhost/.../localhost itself is unavailable too) Windows Event Log refers to an unnamed and not specified configuration file that cannot be found anymore. Do you have any experiences with that ? Regards, Stephan
