Lifecycle promote Lock error

Mahmoud, Are you trying to define Promotion on "Start" activity or on the one after? Maybe you can share your Workflow promotion settings (print screen)

So here is the picture of WF and LFC https://imgur.com/a/hX00g   The start is Automatic activity and the Go is the default path. The workflow is also defined as default workflow in Itemtype. How can I get better error messages or more details? Kind regards Mahmoud

I found the problem, It was trying to promote the lifecycle on the first state after the automatic activity after the start. The Item is still open and locked So I moved the promotion to the next step.

Hi kvaskrishna, Mahmoud gave you the answer. You cannot put a promotion on the activity following the start activity. The start activity is an automatic activity so when you first save you item the workflow is instanciated and the activity after the start activity is activated. So if you have a promotion there, it tries to promote your item, but this one is just saved, not unlocked.  

Hi Yoann, Thanks for replying to my questions. i have one more doubt. How to configure the "can refuse" in an activity. If in an activity two paths are there 1) Approved 2) Rejected. "Approved" i configured as a "On Close". this is working fine. But "rejected" how can i configure as a "On refuse". i tried it. i am unable to workout.   Kindly do the needful.
