Lifecycle promote Lock error
I have a problem with promoting a lifecycle
When I try to promote the lifecycle from Workflow from start to the next step I get the item locked error.
The workflow is defined as default .

Mahmoud gave you the answer. You cannot put a promotion on the activity following the start activity. The start activity is an automatic activity so when you first save you item the workflow is instanciated and the activity after the start activity is activated. So if you have a promotion there, it tries to promote your item, but this one is just saved, not unlocked.
