Date Problem

hii i have one item type QDM having field which datatype is date and pattern is shortdate i select 4/28/2017 date where 4 is month , 28 is day and save item then i open sql server and  open data for QDM , the date selected is stored as 4/27/2017 (one day less than i selected) it is only problem with short date if i change pattern to short datetime then date stored in sql is correctly please help me

    It could be a mismatch with the server date. You may want to check what date (and time) is actually stored in the database in both cases.

    in shortdate case it is stored as  4-27-2017 18:30:00:00 in shortdatetime case it is stored as 4-27-2017 09:30:12:01 time in second case is system time

    Hi rrt, Can you confirm the time zone of the client, and whether there is a corporate time zone set in the database? I believe the discrepancy you are seeing is related to how the Aras client converts the client machine date/time to UTC when it is stored in the database.
