i have one item type QDM having field which datatype is date and pattern is shortdate
i select 4/28/2017 date where 4 is month , 28 is day
and save item
then i open sql server
and open data ...

it is stored as 4-27-2017 18:30:00:00
in shortdatetime case
it is stored as 4-27-2017 09:30:12:01
time in second case is system time
