Tried to login to the aras platform today after a while, and get the error "The Database is not available:License Key is invalid." Activating features is covered on page 61/74 in this guide: https://www.aras.com/-/media/files/documentation/installation-and-configuration/en/12-0/aras-innovator-120--installation-guide.ashx That's so clicky I can't help but think there has to be a better way. Why do I need this? Well, as a developer I need to replicate, locally, what is our prod env as a starting point to work. It already has lots of layers and Minerva add-ons, and 3rd party contractor work. One part of setup is adding a stack of keys that all have: Feature Name and Activation Key (and unused expiration date). From the v12 install guide you can do this, one at a time: As a developer/QA/exterminator in this environment that I need to replicate this is a real pain doing this 12 times before moving on. And, while I'm needing to do this on v11 and the navigation to the Activate Feature is different, I'm guessing it writes to the same bucket? I've managed to use REST API to add Users and Identities, and I think I can pretty much tack-on the singular label of any ItemType and write to the system. What I want is concise repeatable setup (especially because the possible variants on just one ItemType, such as User are astronomical). I'm consuming CSVs and the singular item type, and with Bearer Token I can reliably produce setup for these two things. Anyway, is there an endpoint for "Activate Feature"? Hi Community, does anybody know any further information regarding the license manager? It´s the tool you can find at Innovator 11 Main page -> Tools -> Admin -> Licenses -> License Manager I have a couple of question regarding the license manager: 1. The licenses Manger displays fields, that are not part of the User ItemType, like 'Last Activity'. Where is this kind of data stored? Is it possible to access the data to use it for own queries (how long do people stay in the system...) 2. The list seems to collect the logged in users within one day. What happens if the license pool is full? Normally the number of licenses is limited by the number of activated users. But I have noticed that some accounts appear 2 times in the list. 3. And what does the X columns do? Will it throw out logged on users? 4. What is the purpose of the 'comments' column? 5. I also noticed, that licenses tab is empty for some users. What could be the reason for this one? Would be happy if somebody could share a few background information to the License Manager! Maybe this tool is just for information purpose. We received the feature license keys and went to activate feature key but we keep receiving the pictured error below. It also pops up upon entering our database. We have 5 floating licenses of xPlmCad connector. Sometimes, the license is not released when the user logs out. We were given a new key to use and we want to try it out. I logged in using user1 and I consumed a feature license. I checked the license manager in the aras client and saw the consumed license of user1, I left it overnight and check the license manager the next day the consumed license is gone. Hi community, since this morning I get following popup dialog whenever I start-up Innovator: I haven´t seen the error message before and I am unsure what can cause this one to appear. I made some investigation and this is what I can tell so far: - The pop-up appear on ALL my Innovator 12 instances. Most of them run on independent servers. - I don´t get the dialog popup for Innovator 14 / Release 2023 - The licensing options in the top-right corner menu are not available. Options like "Feature tree update" or "Enter a license key" are not available - Only admins get the popup - The browser debugger indicates the popup is related to licensing As all of my Innovator 12 instances (various versions) are affected at the same time, I somehow doubt that I caused the issue. So I assume some service is down on Aras side. @ Community: Does any of you receive a similar popup? Aras_PLM Can you please check? The good news: So far everything works as expected.
