Hi Maddy,
Could you please check if there are any additional server events on the Part ItemType? By default there should be 7 events all named something like 'PE_...'.
Could you also confirm when you are receiving the "There is no tag in response" message? This issue has been seen before when a user has permissions to edit an item, but not a related file on that item.
