Entered License Xml is not valid.

"Entered License Xml is not valid."  This is the error I get when I cut and past the license information into the dialog box during installation. I've tried getting new keys. I've tried removing the comment from the XML. I've tried copying the license into Notepad first to remove any special characters.

    Yes this is strange. Can you show what you copy paste? (you can replace the license key, even though I don't think anyone else will use it)

    Maybe that's a character conversion Did you type the right Mac address of the machine hosting the Aras Install ?

    I've checked it multiple times. I'm trying to install this on a Hyper-v virtual machine, but I can't imagine how that would affect the XML in the license key.

    if you install it on the virtual machine you need to provide the VM's mac address. I guess you did that. Can you check that in your aras folder, the file innovatorServerConfig.xml has the right license xml tag?

    Yes I'm using the VM's MAC address. I verified that it is a valid address, assigned to Microsoft. I'm not sure where the file you're referring to is. The program hasn't actually installed yet.

    I pasted only the hex for the MAC address and the license key digits into the XML that is displayed in the set up screen by default. That worked. Thanks for your interest in this problem.

    Be very careful if you use an automatic translator on your browser because it will also translate the two lines of the license and when you paste it into the ARAS installation window it will not work and you will get this error message.

     In these cases, the product key entered determines which edition of the product is installed. ot Applicable, No key is needed to install this product. MAKs are used with Volume Licensing versions of products.
