User Password

Good day all.  How can I set the user password when creating an account?  Our system normally logs a user in with a badge/credentials.  I need to create a few user accounts for the admins that will use a password to log in with, so we can test some of the changes that are being made.  I tried creating an account through the User section and typed a password in, but I could not log on with the account.

I found a post about using AML to create an account & set the password.  It worked for the first account I created, but didn't for the second account.  Not sure what is going on.  I have tried editing the account & deleting it then reading.  I keep receiving an error that indicates the password is incorrect.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

  • Which Innovator version do you use? Do you use active directory? Your custom account passwords may be overwritten when you use Active directory. In this case you have to add them to the exemption list in the codetree.

Sorry, I keep forgetting to put the Aras 11 SP10 into my comments.  Yes, Active directory is used.  We have a link that bypasses the single logon with a couple of accounts that work with it.  Is the exemption list in the InnovatorServerConfig file?  Thanks for your help.

It was in the InnovatorServerConfig  in Innovator 11. In Innovator 12 it´s one of the files in the OAuthServer folder. Guess it was the json, but have not checked.

Edit: Haven´t seen that you mentioned Innovator 11. In this case InnovatorServerConfig is the right place.
