Extract variables from an external development

Hello, I want to develop a vb.net web application that allows me to read from an item specific fields I managed to connect from an external web application and managed to write data from this web application, however I have not achieved how to retrieve an existing variable within an item, it is possible that you can guide me, or direct me to a simple example , to know how I can perform this operation.

    Hello, You can find a simple example of creating a connection from an external application using the IOM.dll in the Aras Innovator Programmer's Guide in Section 10.1. After making this connection, you can use the same kind of C# to query for an item that you would from within a Method inside of Innovator. You can look at Section 7 of the same Programmer's Guide for a "cookbook" of different code samples. Section 7.3 specifically includes a simple example of querying for an item. Chris

    thank you, I have already made the consultation with the guide you gave me, now I have this question Is there an equivalent Java sdk to the iom.dll to be used in a B4A Android application instead of Xamarin?

    Hello, To the best of my knowledge, there isn't a Java sdk for Aras Innovator. That being said, Oracle does have an API for handing SOAP messages which you can use to communicate with the Innovator server. I have seen customers in the past create Java applications for Aras Innovator entirely through SOAP communication. Chris
