Hi robert
Here are some common integration approaches to consider for Aras data sync:
1)View-Only Integration (Plugin Required):
You can only view data in Aras from other systems such as Salesforce and SAP in view only mode.
Here, you will not be able to edit or collaborate, which means no updates are shared between Aras and Salesforce automatically.
2) Adhoc or Manual Sync:
Whenever you need to integrate, you'll have to manually select requirements and trigger the sync from the Aras UI. This interrupts the normal workflow, as users will experience changes in their usual process, and there won't be seamless collaboration between systems.
Since the sync is manual, if the trigger is forgotten, missed, or delayed, the data won't be updated on time, causing potential sync issues
3) Automated Continuous Sync:
You can have real-time, bidirectional sync, keeping Aras and other systems up-to-date automatically without manual intervention.
The sync operates continuously, ensuring seamless data flow without manual interference.
You may consider OpsHub for the bidirectional, reliable and scalable sync of Aras with prebuilt 60+ connectors including SAP, Salesforce etc. You can easily configure the sync without much technical knowledge.
Hope this helps!
