Installing Aras Innovator and SQL?

I have a question about installing Aras Innovator and setting up the environment. When I checked the installation guide, there was no mention of SQL Server during installation. Please tell me what I ...

    Hello Mr. Sakamoto,
    When I became an Aras user in the spring of 2018, I remember there was a forum where users could communicate directly in Japanese.
    (However, since no one posted there, it quietly disappeared.)
    I believe this forum might support non-Latin characters, so I'm writing this post as a small experiment.

    Recently, translation accuracy has improved significantly.
    So I’ve started using Google Translate for rough drafts,
    and then asking Copilot to refine them by checking things like:
    “Is this an appropriate question?”
    or
    “Is this an appropriate answer?”

    最近は翻訳の精度が上がっていますので、
    Google翻訳で適当に翻訳させてから、
    「質問文として適切になっているか」
    とか
    「回答文として適切になっているか」
    という感じで、Copilotに添削させればよいのでは、と自分は考えるようにしています。

Hello Sakamoto-san,

 

Regarding your question, based on my understanding and the documentation, here is what I think you should do:

 

**Before installation:**
- Please install SQL Server in advance.
- Set a password for the 'sa' account and make sure you can connect to the server using SSMS.

 

**After installation:**
- If you are not using the Express Edition, I recommend setting up SQL Server Agent to perform daily backups automatically, after confirming that Aras Innovator is working correctly.

        ありがとうございます。

        坂本です。おっしゃられる通り翻訳ソフトでも何とかなりそうなので、まずはアドバイスを広く得られるように困ったときは、質問してみます。現在トライアル版でメリット等をまとめて早くお仲間になりたいと奮闘しています。お時間の許す範囲でアドバイス頂ければ嬉しいです。
