Can I Run a Saved Search with a Browser Url?

Hi,

Is there a way to actually run a SavedQuery from a browser Url. I have searched the help files and not found anything appropriate. The StartItem parameter brings up the query in an edit mode but doesn't actually run the query.

    Hello,

    This is controlled directly on the ItemType. There's a property called "Auto Search" that will make it such that whenever a user goes to a search grid for a particular ItemType a search is automatically run. Note that this will happen whether the user opens a search using the StartItem parameter in the URL or just opens the search directly from the TOC.

    You can follow the steps below to enable this.

    1. Login as admin
    2. Navigate to TOC > Administration > ItemTypes
    3. Search for and open your desired ItemType
    4. In the Search groupbox, check the Auto Search flag
    5. Save the ItemType
