via localhost everything works fine, accessing via IP, hostname, etc it isn't working anymore...

How are you accessing through localhost? I haven't been able to figure that out yet. Our network always pushes the connection through our SAML server.
On another note, can you ping your server? What kind of errors do you get when you are trying to access the server using the IP or hostname?
