Steps to remove components (Process Engine, Variang Management) from repo

Hi, I am looking to remove some components from our repo - specifically, the packages concerning Process Engine and Variant Management. Is this something I would need to go into AML Packages and remove, or is it possible to do via an application? Any direction is appreciated! Thank you.
