Product Number in Tab showing full ID

I was playing with the Product types and decided I didn't need the item_number - this was being used for the name that is shown in the primary tabs. Now I see the full ID number e.g. 13f134g2356gCA345... I've added the item_number back in. How do I force aras to recognize that property as the tab's text?

    The name displayed in the tabs are set by the Keyed Name Order and the Order by columns in the properties definitions. When no property is set to a keyed name order, then it defaults to the item ID. Yoaan, I would suggest we leave these posts up on the board so that they are searchable (google is crawling all of this) in the future. I realize I'm asking a lot of questions and answering them myself... so perhaps I'm generating some good new user guidance.

    Further more - you can combine properties into a single tab name by using setting multiple items into the keyed name order and order by sections of the properties. e.g. Item Number 1, 1 item name 2, 2 seems to produce Item Number Item Name in the tab.

    Yes this is some good user guidance. And we don't delete any of these questions so they are fully searchable from google. I've done this since 2009 :) Thanks again, for asking and also for answering before I could even read the question !

    Also this kind of info can be found via "just ask innovator" but I understand some time google is the starting point of any problem solving algorithm.
