How to highlight a custom CUI Button like the Notification Button based on events of interest?

Hi angela​, we had a need to disable the notification message that automatically appears in the user's notification button when a new version of Aras was available. I had initially tried updating the VersionServer.xml, but you are correct that the file is generated by another process, so the fix didn't persist. The solution was to update the file Innovator/Client/Modules/aras/Startup/userNotifications.tsx. You can probably locate the needed logic there.

    Small update:

    for quick fix, I succeeded with the following:

    Navigate to Innovator\Server\temp\VersionServer.xml

    Replace this (complete line):

    by this:

    <Update available="False"><URL /><CSS /><LatestUpdateTime>01/01/3000 00:00:00</LatestUpdateTime><Interval>0</Interval></Update>

    restart IIS

    Notification is gone:

    for permanent fix, use solution with custom dll from previous answer
