Change property value on client side

Im trying to change the value of a property in a Javascript method, but the changes dont apply, i tried :

Hi Leo,
It looks like you're never specifying that an "edit" action should be applied to the item you are creating. Try updating using something like the sample below instead.
var inn = aras.IomInnovator;
var item = inn.newItem("ITEM_TYPE", "edit");
item.setID("9A78BB7E5EC340018DE26D604CB92041");
item.setProperty("my_property", "New Value");
item.apply();
