Auto generate part number
Hi,
I want to use the sequences feature to generate a new part number according to some convention. I tried to edit the part form and change the item number field type to sequence but there is no option such as sequence.
Pls. find attached screenshot.
Can any one tell me how to link it with the part so that a part number is automatically generated when I create a new Part.

Hello!
To configure your item_number to be a sequence you would do so on the ItemType for Part, not the Form. Once you've updated the datatype of the property in the ItemType the form should automatically be updated so that you can't update the item_number anymore.
