Hi Angela, I haven't heard anything about a 2026 Community Edition yet, but I've reached out to our PM team for more info. I'll reply back here when I know more!
I would appreciate a regular schedule, like quarterly
And an option for live upgrades, like weekly, even onprem

Isn´t it quarterly? :) We have Release 39 since a few days. Back in 2022 we even had a monthly release schedule - and for once, Aras and customers were on the same page that it wasn’t a great idea. :)
For the Community version, it´s on a one-year release cycle. (if we ignore that we waited three years for R2023... :) ).
From what I can tell from the past, community releases are often cornerstone versions: They include the most important improvements, but less experimental new features. New customers who test the software see something polished with low risk that something is not working. This is of course a big plus for users without subscription who might have to rely on this version a very long time.
Release 39 looks like a perfect candidate for a Community version - no experiments, just solid improvements. For me, it´s not really important whether the next open release comes sooner or later. It mainly helps with planning.
What I would really like to see is an increase in the user limit for the open release, or ideally a return of a lightweight subscription model. Right now I have a few projects where a full subscription (with all features and upgrade service) is simply too much for the requirements, while the open release is still too limited.
