How can I create a new BOM Structure (Part Relationship) in Aras Innovator Free Version?

Hello Community,

I am currently evaluating Aras Innovator using the free version.
I have already completed the PLM Essentials and Administration I trainings.

I would like to create a new BOM structure using the Part relationship type.
At this point, I have already built the parent–child hierarchy under the Product relationship:

Top System → System → Assembly → Part → Material

However, I am not sure what the correct steps are to create a BOM Structure Tree using the Part BOM relationship in Aras Innovator.

Could someone explain how to properly create and configure a new BOM structure in the Part item, or point me to relevant documentation?

    Hello again,
    I would like to share additional information regarding my previous question about creating a BOM structure in the Free Version of Aras Innovator.

    When I click the BOM Structure tab of my custom ItemType (e.g., Exhaust Top System),
    I immediately receive the following error message:

    “This item type has no displayable properties. Therefore, a new item cannot be created.”
