Access the system using the URL

Hello, Does anybody know if it is possible to access the system using a URL from .Net code? For instance when coding with .NET or other languages to access a website you simply add the URL into the code. Is there a way to do this in ARAS to access a specific part? Understandable you would need the login information (possibly in a separate txt file?). I am having trouble understanding how the url is made up in order to access it. Set IE = CreateObject("InternetExplorer.application") Navigate site1= "http://www.google.co.uk Thanks

    Hi, Sounds like you are refering to a REST interface where every ressource can be reached via an URI. It is not yet available in Aras. Out of the box we provide:
    • a SOAP interface where you need to use AML
    • you can also use the .net API for your .net projects
    • if you are a subscriber we still support our WSDL packager tool.
    Can you share what you are trying to achieve? maybe we could give you some hints?

    Thank you for getting back to me. I have now been able to access the system through the api to achieve the desired results. The URL was more of a long way round.
