Hi Frederic,
Aras Innovator does support a distributed installation where there is a separate database and application server. I'm not familiar with using AWS myself, but so long as your application server can access the SQL Server instance, it should be possible.

The managed database of AWS is very powerful but come with some limitations.

would be great to have an official support from ARAS as it greatly simplify and maintenance of the database (including, replication, backup, monitoring, failover, licensing, etc.)
