Lock document that is in the state of "In Change".

Hi 

In Change item is equivalent to released item. So, only admin & root has access to edit.

You have to use below AML to update description.

Thank you for your reply. I am the admin but the document does not allow me to lock it. I used the AML code you provided but it did not lock the document.

I logged into AML as admin - I get a fault string saying this is not the latest version - i know that but i still want to lock it.

Yes, you cannot able to lock the In Change item but AML query what I provided should work. Can you check the permission of the inchange part in UI ?

Check which identity has update access and add your account / admin into that identity

I have an older version of Innovator. I looked at the life cycle for IN Change and there is no permissions listed.

When I use what you provided in AML (when logged in as admin), I get this...

I have checked the permission for In Change Document item type in ARAS instance and only members of ARAS PLM role has access to edit it.

Step 1: Navigate to Administration --> Permissions --> Search and open Released Document permission

Step 2: Lock and add Innovator Admin user under Access tab

Step 3: Save and Unlock Permission

Step 4: Relogin to AML studio or Nash as admin and run the query

I tried changing version to 2 and to C.
