Issue While Installing Aras Enterprise search

After you installed the Index were you able to confirm that the solr nodes were running by checking the solr dashboard? You can check this by going to http://localhost:8983/solr/#/.

               Thank you for reply. I confirms that solr nodes was running and I am able to get to the solr dashboard, you can see that in screenshot also.

Similar to the solr nodes, Can we confirm that zookeeper were running? If yes how?

Hi Nilesh, 

I have not seen this error before, but there are a few things you can check:

1. Do you have the Aras ES Index 12.0 and Aras ES Zookeeper 12.0 services running?
2. When you installed the index did you install the nodes, cluster, and zookeeper separately? I would run the index msi but this time install all the features.
3. Did you also double check the prerequisites and you have Java Redhat open JDK 8? Sometimes the January 2020 release throws errors, and reinstalling Java with the October 2019 one works.

Yes I have checked all thing as you mentioned, I had installed all the features in index msi.

      I have installed Innovator 12.0  SP5 and Aras Enterprise search as per the  instruction in the installation guide. I am installing zookeeper, solr and agent on different machine. I am able to install Zookeeper and Solr nodes smoothly. Also confirms the solr installation by localhost:8983/.../ url. I am getting solr dashboard.
          when I try to install ArasESAgentSetup.msi I am getting error as "Internal server error: Can't create user "solradmin"". 

         I was able to install solr and zookeeper on single machine and agent on different machine. This setup works well.

        When I separate out solr and zookeeper on two different machine I am getting above mentioned error.

Hi Nilesh,

Can you check the installation logs, this is found in the CD image in the Enterprise Search Folder. There might be an indication of why its failing there; another thing to test is try using "solr_admin" instead of "SolrAdmin".

     As per your suggestion I have check CD image in Enterprise Search, I haven't find any installation logs there. Then I tried installing EsAgentService.msi  with Advance installer to generate log file. I have got error details in log file as attach in screenshot. 
   As u have suggested to try with other user names I have tried with "solr_admin", But it is giving same error as  Internal server error: Can't create user "solr_admin"
  I want to highlight again that I am installing Zookeper on one machine, Solr on second machine and Agent Service on third machine.

Hi Nilesh,

I would take a look at the documentation “Enterprise Search Installation Guide”, page 9, within the Aras Innovator CD image.

Your setup should be fine just note that the Solr nodes and Zookeeper need to be able to communicate with each other within the same network. That being said, I would check that there is no firewall preventing requests between the two machines.

     Thanks for suggestions Nithin. I have disabled firewall for all the machine which I am using for  installation. Zookeeper and Solr nodes are communicating  now. Getting solr Dashboard too.
Still getting error while installing agent service as "can't reload solr basic oauth'.
