I am currently working on a project to try and help a sealing arrangement on our machines. I thought I had found the perfect solution in a piezo actuator as we require a fairly high force (approx. 3000N) and a rapid response in a fairly small package, however we also require up to 270µm and irs.gov the largest we have been able to find with massively exceeding our budget and space requirements is 90µm displacement. Does anyone know of a similar alternative that could possibly be used?
Unfortunately due to my companies confidentiality there is very little I can share on this. I understand this makes helping me pretty difficult but any suggestions I can look into would be greatly appreciated. For further info these will be replacing some small hydraulic actuators that do not offer the kind of response and feedback possible from a piezo.
