Enterprise Search Crawl Error

I am trying to install enterprise search on a new database that is currently on Release 30 Build 14.0.22. After installation when i try to run the ESItemCrawler i get an below errors

1. "There is discrepancy between expected and processed data"

2. "There is discrepancy between expected and received data from Innovator"

3. "Index Queue collection update error"

What does this error mean and how can i fix this? I am executing the crawlers in the right order as per the administration guide.

In addition, after the execution in the "Index Summary" i can see that all records are under Queue: Failed, To Reprocess. Any inputs will be helpful.

Edit a tree grid view cell value

Hi,

Can someone please provide a sample javascript code that will allow to update a tree grid view’s cell text with a dynamic value .

In my case the value is not fetched as part of query definition, instead it’s calculated dynamically in the UI based on a tool bar button click method

How to add History using a custom method?

I want to log in History when a specific "Action" is performed on a "Part" . I try to do this by adding to the "History" table. I do get a response that the record is added, However, I do not see a record in the database, neither visible in the History View. I try to do this by invoking "History Daemon" identity.

How can i achieve this in Aras?

Update Sequence property to existing records

After adding a new sequence property to an existing item type, how can i update the value for existing records in database?

It tried to update using server method

string nextSequence= inn.getNextSequence("newSequence");
Item editSelectionSet = inn.newItem("myItemtype", "edit");
editSelectionSet.setID(thisSelectionSet.getID()); //looping all records here to get current row id
editSelectionSet.setProperty("my_sequence", nextSequence);

Is it Possible to pass custom parameters from a javascript to Search dialog

I'm attempting to apply a custom filter value to a search dialog in my application. To achieve this, I'm using the 'onSearchdialog' event on a specific property where the filter should be applied. However, I've encountered an issue where the filter value is not accessible within the 'onSearchdialog' method. This filter value needs to be dynamically set based on the selection made in a dropdown within a custom form. How can I pass this dynamic filter value to the 'onSearchdialog' method from an external JavaScript file that opens the search dialog?

How to open StartItem directly without the helper window

We modified the email templates with a direct link to the start item as mentioned in the article. However, user complains on seeing an annoying "helper window" popup even if the session is already open. Is there a way to avoid the additional popup and open the items directly in the active session?

Save Custom Form Data on CUI Save Button Click

How do we extend the CUI save button click event. I need to save data in a relationship custom form. I tried using the below function

aras.registerEventHandler('ItemSave', window, saveFunction);

However, the "saveFunction" is triggered even after i move out of the window to other forms.

Uploading files using RestAPI "Unsupported Media Type"

However i get below error in Postman when i try to request token. I did add the values as "Formdata". We are using Aras 11 SP15. Any inputs will be helpful

We have several server methods which expects custom attribute values using "getAttribute". While we can pass the property value in the API call, I am not sure how do we pass custom attribute values to the server method call??

Select Time in Search Filter Date Dialog

Why is the "Time" fields disabled, when selecting value using the Date dialog in the main search grid?

"Linked Toolbar/Context Menu" For Treegrid view Does not work

I created a new DataModel with just one command bar button.

I created a new Presentation configuration, linked the new new datamodel and added it to the "Linked Toolbar/Context Menu" property in Treegridview definition.

When I try to show the tree grid view in a dialog, The toolbar for this, is always picked from the "Global" presentation configuration, instead of the new one created.

I tried to modify the "Global" presentation configuration and link the new Datamodel for the "TGV Toolbar" location.the new datamodel is then replaced in all the treegrid views.

For some reason, the presentation configuration defined in property "Linked Toolbar/Context Menu" is not considered when the tree grid view is loaded.. I am currently using 11SP15. Any inputs will be helpful

Multiselect items report from search grid

The user would like to select multiple items from the main search grid, and run an analysis report only for the selected items.

The client method linked to the report is executed multiple times, depending on the number of items selected in the search grid.

How do we prevent this from happening and execute the method only once?

Change Date Format in Calendar Control Date field

I have a date field in my custom form that is not bound to any item type. The Calendar Control Time selection is disabled by default as the default format is Short date. How do i change this to long date so the time selection is enabled?

Is there any recommended way to integrate 3rd party viewers for example https://viewerjs.org in Aras. Default viewers support PDF and image files, but what about other file types that follows Opendocument format. Is there any out of the box solution for this?
