I am trying to set up Graph Navigation as per below documentation

But after adding the graph view to an itemtype. i set all the required as per documentation . when i open the Graph i see screen as mentioned below

But i wanted to get rid of those ARAS ID's marked in yellow , i just want structure to be visible. can you help me fix it

Import ReqIF into Aras Innovator

Hello,

I wanted to ask how the import of ReqIF to the Requirement Engineering module works.

In my company we already use a tool to import and treat customer requirement. I digged into the ReqIFz that is exported, and we have everything, but this include specific data (columns) for each project.

I searched but couldn't found any information regarding how Aras work regarding importation of ReqIF. Is there an article somewhere? Do we need to do configuration or customization to make it works?

How can I export PDF from Aras? And add a function when I click relation line

Hi everyone

I am new here , I write a client method to sent value to server method to create a excel for user to download,

and now my boss says the file need to be PDF

the only way I can find is using "Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.dll" ,

but it fail on aras , I had try many times 😞

how can I do? Is there any other way to export PDF ?

And When I right-click on relation's line it shows view / copy / lock , how can I add a new function at here?

BTW my version is 11SP9

Im just wondering if it is possible to upgrade ARAS 11SP12 to ARAS 12.0 using only export/import utilities?

If it is, is there any special way/order etc, to do this in?

Would like to get some feedback from the community about using Aras as a "free-loader"? With ARAS 12 out now, what can you tell me about the cummunity release? Is everything that was avaliable in v11 pulled forward to the community release?

My focus is on

Parts / BOMS / Variant Configuration management
Simple PDF document management
Change Management / Out of the Box

I understand the value if subscription for sure and all the rest of the applications that comes along with Aras but I have other apps for CAD management, ECAD, Software, project mgmt, etc. Really looking for a enterprise level common system for 1000's of users and keep it as simple as possible.

Which web client framework to use to create new UI?

Hello,

I found that Aras is now using Dojo for the new interface of Aras, V12.

I was wondering:

- Does it mean that we should use Dojo as well if we were to create custom UI? Or can we use something else? react.js, angular or else?

I know that Aras is going to add ALM functionalities, since they want their developers to work directly in Aras. So any ideas when it'll come?

Best practice for code in Aras Innovator 11 SP12

I have recently joined a team that uses Aras Innovator 11 SP12, so I'm quite new to this. I see that my predecessors have written some custom C# methods, but I am not happy with the way they are written. The formatting is not great (indentation etc.), which isn't surprising, given the code was probably typed right into the Innovator admin interface. A copy of the code exists in our version control system, but this is most likely just a copy and I am not even sure if it reflects the code currently running on the server. To me this looks like a less than ideal setup, so I am wondering what the recommended practice for custom code is. Ideally, all custom Innovator code would be in our versioning control system and deployed to the Innovator server from a build server. But what's the best way to debug code that is under active development? I would like to use Visual Studio with Resharper etc. for development, with external logging libraries like Serilog etc. etc. Or would it make sense to implement a custom webservice that implements the actual logic and only have very short methods in Innovator that interact with the webservice? How do you guys do this?

In the FAQ, we can read this:

What if we have downloaded a bunch of the Aras open source community solutions and they are running in our production environment? Will they get upgraded as well?

Yes , because your entire production system database including customizations and community solutions openly available from the Aras web site are getting upgraded. Now, if you have exterior programs running like integrations or custom HTML pages somewhere that hook into your Aras system, those will need to be handled separately of course. We're obviously not offering to take over your whole company's IT duties. Just a huge portion as they relate to Aras.

So if I understood correctly:

If I put two instance of Aras Innovator, one with subscription with 100 users, and a second one with 200 users on the community version, will the community version be upgraded for free as well as part of the subscription?
