Hyper link with property value as form field

Hi,

I have a form with two fields

One is a text field AA where user enters a text "PC-1234"

Then the other field shall after save be a hyperlink field containing "the web url"+field AA value

Http://webpageABC.com/PC1234

so user can click on the hyperlink and have the web page opened in a new window

I've been looking around in some old post's but not been able to solve it

Aras12 add a new Change relationship tab

Hi,

I just downloaded Aras12 and see that the part changes tab now relates to a Tree grid view and Query definition.

Has anybody with Aras12 tested to create a new change tab and add correct relations?

In Aras 12 "PE_Changes" query definition, they have been able to add Simple ECO's etc, but I can't figure out how.
I cant see how they did that, due these references are not available as choices when trying to add them to my new query definition

Hi,

How can I show more properties (columns) in the Part - Changes tab.??

Example: ECO/MCO... creation date

I have tried modifying

C:\Program Files (x86)\Aras\Innovator\Innovator\Client\Solutions\PLM\xml\ChangesGrid.xml

and if I modify (add a header) in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Aras\Innovator\Innovator\Client\Solutions\PLM\scripts\Changes\Changes.html

the new column becomes visible on the part changes tab, but all changes are gone/ not visible
If I remove the added header = my changes are visible again.

Anyone knows how to fix this?

Restrict Workflow path to one Identity

Hi,

In my work flow I have a stage with several path's, one of them is called "Fast Track Approve"

How can I set so that path only is valid for the CM /Admin identity?

It would have been nice if Aras had possibilities to set permissions/Identities on path,

But it looks like this must be solved by a method.

So I need a method to check user vs identities and then have the method to be run as a pre-method for that path

Hi,

I don't know if this is possible, but an idea...

A common scenario is a person comes to me with a part in his hand and ask me

“what is the part number of this part / in which assembly does this belong?”

Almost impossible to answer on a single physical part

How would it be if user could take a photo of the part, upload the photo to an Aras search and
get hits on corresponding parts by their images ?

I think that would be a great Aras functionality.

Pinterest, Google photo and other search engines use the reverse-image-lookup feature

Open Part document directly form Part

Hi,

I have part documents in the Part -Documents tab

But to see/open each document, I must open the Document, then open the the file

Would it be possible to change behavior so I can open the file directly from the part by just clicking on the Document Number

Aras12: can't scroll code in Method window

Hi,

I'm running Aras12 and in some windows (not all) the scroll does not work, no scroll bar is available

Example is the Method windows where I can't scroll to see the whole code.

Does anybody else has this problem?

Tested on Win10 and

Edge (44.17763.1.0)

Chrome (78.0.3904.97)

In my trial of fixing some relationships in Aras12, I managed to delete

the Relationship View in RelationshipType – Part Changes

Part Changes Tab: Add affected Part revision

Hi,

How can I show the part revisions (old rev , new rev) on Part changes tab on each ECO

Today Part Changes tab shows

Change Type, Number, Title, State
ECO, ECO-100001, "Eco about blabla", Released

I would like to see the Part revision that was affected by each ECO

something like for Part XX change tab

Change Type, Number, Title, State, Old rev, New rev
ECO, ECO-100001, "Eco about blabla", Released, A, B
ECO, ECO-100002, "Eco about blabla", Released, B, C
ECO, ECO-100003, "Eco about blabla", Released, C, D

I know this must be done in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Aras\Innovator\Innovator\Client\Solutions\PLM\xml\ChangesGrid.xml and
C:\Program Files (x86)\Aras\Innovator\Innovator\Client\Solutions\PLM\scripts\Changes\Changes.html

But can't figure out how to point (get the relation) to the affected part revisions on each ECO since Changes.html refers to relation to the change type and not part info.

Method to read file or text string to upload files to vault

Hi,

I am trying to upload several files to vault by a server side method.

I have created the code below, but gives me error

Line number -2, Error Number: CS0161, 'PKG_MKTEST_A1_B14858DBCEA85CCE.ItemMethod.methodCode()': not all code paths return a value

I managed to load a single file to the vault if I define

string filenam1 = "MKDOC13.docx

but if i want to loop through a list of values to load corresponding file to the vault
(tried values as here in the code and to read separate txt file etc), then I get the error above.

Set "Item has BOM"-indicator

Hi,

To indicate that a Part has BOM or not I want to set a field (HasBOM) to 1 or 0

I have below server side code triggered on onBeforeAdd and OnBeforeUpdate on the Part item type

It works,

But I have to press save twice!? to have the field updated after I removed or added a BOM,
is there a way to have it updated directly on save???

Dynamic workflow, set assigned id based on drop down list

Hi,

I am new with C#

I am trying to read an ECO form drop down list value (manufsites) and then based on that add corresponding identity as assigned.

I can without the IF statement set the identities as assigned,
but when try to read my drop down list value it does not work,

any ideas, please help
