Innovator V12 REST Integration

Hello,

I suppose Innovator V12SP1 supports also REST integration. When I try an example in Postman, it returns the following error;

 "code": "BadRequest",
        "message": "Value cannot be null.\r\nParameter name: loginName"
    }
}
In "Headers", I've set the AUTHUSER(admin), its MD5 AUTHPASSWORD(607920B64FE136F9AB2389E371852AF2), and DATABASE(InnovatorSolutions12), with the request:
http://localhost:80/innovatorserver12/server/odata/part
So, what is maybe the reason of this error? Thanks for the answer

Hallo, recently I’ve created an self-defined ItemType with a Null-Relationship. I’ve added a string property “URL Link” to it so that it should link to external URLs. (e.g. “https://www.aras.com/”) But it is a plain text, how can I set it as Hyperlink? Thank you.

How to set up an alternate vault

Hello, to use an alternate vault, I installed a stand-alone vault in a separate server(Server 2). But I can only add files into default vault in Server 1, can not add them into this new vault. Server 1 consists of Innovator server and default vault. During installation of alternate vault, I’ve followed the steps: 1. Run installer, perform custom installation, select “Vault Server” setup component ONLY, installation path is default as official installation guide 2. Name the vault as “New”, Application Server URL as “http://<server 1 hostname>/<web_alias>/Server/InnovatorServer.aspx” After that, in Server 1 Innovator, “Administration-->FileHandling-->Vault”, 1. Added a new record with name “New” 2. Set Vault URL Pattern to “http://<server 2 hostname>/vault/VaultServer.aspx” If I try to upload a file into innovator (e.g. create a “Document” item, add a file into it), it shows running(uploading) status, but no response. I’ve also tried to modify default vault URL to http://<server 2 hostname>/vault/VaultServer.aspx”, result was the same. Have I missed some steps? Should some config. files be modified manually? Applications installation in V12SP1

Hi everyone,

after installing V12SP1, I'm going to install some other applications like Technical Documentation(12.0R1), QMS(12.0R1), MPP(12.0R1)etc.

However, when installing with "Aras Update" tool, it happens error. From log file it records "Aras.Tools.ArasUpdateGui.Logger Required version of Innovator 12.0 None", so, the reason is probably version incompatibility? Will the compatible version of such applications be released soon?

BTW, I remember there was previously an applications-matrix for compatible versions check on the website, but cannot find it now.

Requirement Collaboration

Hello, why there is no collaboration part(the right in the Requirement item) in my Requirements Management? We have the Feature license and in other components such as Part, there exists already sidebar with visual collaboration. Hello, I've built a Demo using CMF, in the CMF item, after clicking "Show Editor" icon in the sidebar, I can get the result (e.g. with table content) in IE Browser. However, in Chrome it shows blank page. My Chrome version is V67.0(64 bit), how should I configure the browser settings to get the result? Thank you for the reply. chenze

Hello, I've just encountered a configuration problem. I hope that you can give me some advice. After I created a new ItemType by myself in a TOC category (for example: Manufacturing Process Plan), I was able to create a new instance of this type. However, since the "Operation" type of Manufacturing Process Plan can insert other types like "tools", "skills", etc, how should I do configurations so that "Operation" can also insert my created new ItemType instance? How to disable Item Property Edit

Hello, my question is, there's a property in an ItemType that can be input or edited by certain identity (for example, property "Tester" can only be assigned by a Test manager, but can not be filled by other roles, only viewable to others) Permission settings is feasible only for ItemType as whole, how should I do configuration for certain item properties? Hello, I tried to use visual collaboration. I uploaded the CAD file(catia, creo) into Innovator, but the Viewer(sidebar button) was not visible. It's the first time I tried to use this function, and I have subscription, but not sure how to configure it to get the Viewer. Should I install some component or check the file format? Thanks chenze

Hello, when I create a new report, in the first step I have selected Top Level ItemType (e.g. Part), why the "Selected Related" showed only "Alternates" and "config_id(Part)"? According to demo, it should automatically list all the relationships. I've tried several other itemtypes, the results are the same, only above two are listed. Best regards chenze
