Filter relationship grid rows from code

Hi Experts,

I have the requirement that, as per the form property value the relationship content should be shown. I have tried many things but it didnt helped.

E.g I have the form property as dept_name and it has value like "Finance" and "Delivery", according to the value of this property, relationship grid should automatically filter the content(rows).

In my relationship i have both Finance and Delivery values, If logged in user is from Finance then he should be able to see only Finance related rows and delivery user can see only for Delivery dept. records.

Anybody have idea on this? Also is there any way that we can apply the fixed filter in relationship grid on particular property?

Hello Experts,

Is there any way in the Aras to check which property is modified while updating the Item?

I have part item and while updating, i wanted to check which properties are modified likewise it is given in History page.

E.g I have the properties in the Part as Name, Item Number, Description, Classification etc.

User tried to update the Name and Description so i wanted to know that only these two properties are changed.

If i enable the track history for these 2 properties then i can see the modified properties details in the History page.

I want this information of properties on item type server events like, OnBeforeUpdate, OnAfterUpdate etc.

Hi Guys, I am trying to get the list of all properties in the Aras Item and their Data Type like String, boolean, Integer, date E.g. Part Item type is having property as item_number and it's data type is "String". Is there any way to get these datatypes in aras or any AML script for this? Thanks.

Customize Advance Search on Form

Hi Experts,

I am looking for customizing the advance search window on the item form. In Aras for main grid and relationship we have the "Advance Search" option and according to the criteria it shows the result.

What i am trying to do is, create the HTML control on the form and show the Advance search future on the form. I will select the criteria on the form and on click of search the result will be added in the relationship tab of same item.

I tried many things to do this but not successful yet.

Anyone have idea about it?

Hi Guys, I have to create a new BOM structure from existing Part BOM relationship. The action should copy and create new Part and all the levels of BOM from Part BOM relationship. All parts should be create new. Anyone have good idea to do this? Thanks.

Error while sending email to the group Identity when email id not present for some users

Hi Experts,

I am using the Aras OOTB function to send the emails. Please find below code -

document.thisItem.email(EmailBody, GroupIdentity);

When all the members of the group identity have email ID's present then it is working fine, but if any of the members email is not provided then it is returning the error and not sending emails to any member.

Is there any way to handle this?

How to set 'Simple Search' as default search mode in relationship grid instead of 'Hide Search Criteria'?

Hey Experts,

I want to set the search mode as 'Simple Search' by default in the Relationship Grid.

Normally when i open any item having relationship, i am getting default search mode as 'Hide Search Criteria'. Is there any way to configure this in the Aras?

Use of HTML5 in aras

Hi Guys, As per my information Aras is upgrading to the HTML5 in near future. Currently we are working on the DOJO script and if Aras is planning for HTML5 then it will be easy for us to upgrade later. Anyone please guide me on this as which script shall we use? If we continue to work on the DOJO script and will it be possible to upgrade later? Is there any HTML5 API provided by Aras? What is the diff between Aras Dojo and Aras HTML5? Thanks.

Send email from Lifecycle State

Hello Experts, I am trying to set the email notification on Life cycle state of an Item. I want to send the information of the item in the email body. In the notification template i am trying to write the query string to get the information of item but facing difficulties. In case of the workflow notification, we can get the information from the "Activity", but not sure about the life cycle state. Anyone have sample of query string and email body. I am trying to get the information using the below query string, it is not returning anything - <Item type="Activity" id="${Item/ActivityId}" action="get" select="name,message"/>

Download multiple files on one click

Hello Guys, I am trying to download multiple files from the aras innovator SP11. I have written javascript code. I am fetching all the files from the relationship and trying to download all at a time. Below is my code -

for(var i=0; i<array.length; i++){ var myFile = aras.getItemById("File", array[i], 0); aras.downloadFile(myFile,aras.getItemProperty(myFile, "filename")); }

By using this code it is downloading only one file. I have added loop and trying to download the all files. Any one have idea on it? What is the issue?

Allow user to choose path by selectFolder for SP11

Hello Guys, I am facing issue in the javascript code. I want to open the folder dialog box to choose the path from local file system. Previously in SP6, aras.vault.selectFolder() was working fine. Is there any way to implement this in the SP11? Thanks, Aaba
