What is the best way to secretly observe my users (to see if they use specific ItemTypes)?

Hi community,

I have a  couple of custom Federated ItemTypes and TOC views that I designed many years ago for certain data renderings. Some of them are very old and I don´t even know if anyone still use them.

I either want to update the views to more modern UI and coding standards OR delete them if they aren´t needed anymore.

What’s the best way to find out which ItemTypes are being used?

I want to avoid to make a "survey", cause we all know how that ends: The users who matter won’t answer, and the rest will just get confused.Joy

My favorite solution: User select certain elements in the TOC -> a new System or server log entry will be created.

Unfortunately the limiting factor for my favorite solution is the current used Innovator 12SP7. The TOC in this EOL version isn´t CUI based yet. CUI would make the task much easier to solve.

I want to avoid to customize the TOC logic in the codetree just for this use case. How would you solve this task?

Thanks for any idea!

Angela
