Product Number in Tab showing full ID

I was playing with the Product types and decided I didn't need the item_number - this was being used for the name that is shown in the primary tabs. Now I see the full ID number e.g. 13f134g2356gCA345... I've added the item_number back in. How do I force aras to recognize that property as the tab's text?
