Propagate a filter in a query definition

Hello, in a query definition, I use the use case of an article to bring up its parent articles.

I would like to be able to filter any level from the $class_morpho parameter which corresponds to [Morphological class].

At each node I defined a condition.

But as soon as it looks for a specific morphological class, it looks at the first level of kinship and if the value does not match and displays nothing while at the last level the value exists.

In the aras innovator 22 Query Builder Guide doc, there is a notion of filter propagation, but after many attempts I can't find it, my approach must not be correct.

Hello, how can I display all generations of my Part by applying a filter in my query definition? I'm in the case of a child-parent relationship.
I read the builder guide but the examples are mostly in the parent-child direction.I work on Aras 22.Thank you.

Need new license for Innovator 11SP12

We had an old server fail. We have a backup of it but do not have the MAC address from the previous machine. Therefore, or license doesn't work on the new machine with the restored backup. I need someone from Aras to reach out so that I can get a replacement license that works with the new MAC address. Otherwise, we lose a lot of important data.

CUI Table views not working

We have found a strange issue with the tool. We have found nothing in the available installation guides and support forums, and we would be very grateful if you could help us figure out the underlying issue here.

We have an installation of Aras Innovator 2024 ( 14.0.25.40942) that was working for a while, but last week, it started to throw error messages whenever we open any table view (e.g. the Requirement table), or we use any user interface feature related to this view, e.g., change pagination size, select a requirement, etc.

In each case, the error message relates to the favoriteLayoutData settings being not found. More specifically, the following message was emitted:

> The method 'cui_common_layouts_init' failed. favoriteLayoutData.settings is undefined Client Side Error

We have tried to reset the user preferences and try it out with another user, different browsers, and cleaning up locally stored cookies, but the issue persisted. We have also checked the server logs but have not found anything that might be helpful.

The issue breaks the user interface quite severely, making it basically unusable, but have no idea where to look for possible causes.

Enterprise Search Discovery Path for Property Item

In the Enterprise Search configuration, we have a native_file property for the Part item type, which is linked to the File item type. I want to configure the Enterprise Search discovery path for this property. However, it seems that the discovery path can only be configured for relationships, not for property items. How can I achieve this?

Hide View Cards by default in graph

Cannot see item type parts already created

Hello, I am new to aras and just blind testing the application. I have created several users, added a few fields in the item type part and edited its form. Test create a part, saved and done. When i went back to the part search page which defaults all items, its not showing. However when i try to add the same item id to a new part its showing a duplicate already exists. I can add this part that i created to my model but cannot search for it or access it anywhere else. can anyone help me ?

Upgrading Aras Innovator Version 11 Service Pack Versions

Hi all,

We are currently on Aras Innovator Version 11.0 SP9. From my understanding, the latest service pack available for Version 11.0 is SP15.

My question is, is it still possible to upgrade from SP9 to SP15? If so, what would be the effort/duration required to do so? Is it a complicated procedure or a relatively simple one?

Hello All,
I created the rule inside the rule editor for a particular variability item. When I try to look this particular rule in the database perspective, there is one column named as 'definition' in the VM_RULE table. This column is mandatory column and it has the XML data of that particular rule.

My question here is, I want to know the sequence of methods from UI side which are getting triggered too create such XML. Could you please help me out here ?

I think it´s a useful new feature, I just have one problem. Which task can I solve with this framework? What is a typical use case where I can use this feature?

Project Promotion

By default in Innovator 12.0SP9 with Program Management 12.0R1, Projects can be promoted through the various lifecycle states by the Owner Identity (the owned_by_id of the Project, a.k.a. the Project Manager).

I want to allow one additional person to always be able to promote project, so that the owner and this one other person. So I created an new Project Promotion Identity, added Owner and the Alias Identity for the user into it, and changed all the Project Lifecycle Map transitions to use the Project Promotion Identity instead of Owner. Logged out and even restarted IIS, cleared the browser cache, reset the Client Metadata Cache. The User can now promote the project, but unfortunately the user who is the Owner identity (the Project Manager of the Project) cannot now promote it.

It's like the extra degree of separation caused by the Project Promotion identity has removed the Owner from being correctly populated when it comes to allowing a Lifecycle Transition.

Is this expected behavior? Any other options that might be able to be used to allow this configuration requirement to work?

Of course I could put all Project Managers into a Project Managers Identity and allow any one of them to promote all projects irrespective of who the Project Manager / Owner is, but I don't want that. Just want the Project Manager and one other specific user to do that. Also I could double up the transitions so I have one transition for owner and one for the identity Project Promotion identity, but that seems like a lot of unnecessary duplication of lifecycle transitions.

Additional filter of query definition and tree grid view

Hello. On one the tabs for one of our item types, we use the tree grid view/query definition pattern to retrieve a list of the items parents. We've added a filter for is_current = 1, so that we only one result, and the most recent results. This works in most cases.

However, when looking at an older version of the item, there may not be an is_current parent. And if we simply remove this filter, we may get multiple parent results.

Ultimately what we want is to get the most recent generation of this items related parents. We actually do this else where in code by sorting descending by generation and setting max records to "1", but I don't think this will work in a query definition.

Is there a way to filter data this way with the TGV/Query? If not, what would be the best pattern to use to get what we need?

virtualGetForm random error

Hi Team,

One of my users is getting an occasional error on viewing the form of a document. It is completely random, sometimes pressing form refresh helps, but sometimes even that doesn't work.

The error in the console says:

Failed to load resouce: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) virtualGetForm:1

Any ideas?

New version closes the item

So whenever I create a new version using a method, for some reason the form gets closed any idea why that happens?
