Gersthofen (near Augsburg - Bavaria - Germany)
What was your first or strangest job?
Working a part-time job at a company that produced (kiln) graphite for cathodes - manufacturing industry and carbon brakes. My task was to fill and de-fill large kilns with coal.
What do you like most about your current job?
What I like the most is working with motivated people who are willing to change the industry and improve day by day business (Aras employees and customers). No day at Aras is like another with challenges and lots of success. Open communication is one key factor to our success.
What is your greatest accomplishment, work or personal?
To manage the growth at Aras. During the last few years, we have grown from a small department to a European organization of ~50+ employees in Services. And it still feels flexible and motivated as it was at the beginning.

I like to ski all over the planet to relax (favorite spot are the Rockies)

What is one thing on your bucket list?
Take half a year of in wintertime to ski and relax.

All kind of sports, skiing and family activities, too.

If you could hang out with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?
My son and my wife. Nothing better than stay with them an additional day in my life.
